Our Story...

Established in 2022 from over 100 years of tradition, a group of musicians - known well to each other and the West Coast of Newfoundland for their individual abilities - came together to hone the craft of traditional French-Newfoundland music while building on a pre-acquired love of traditional Newfoundland and folk music.

After only a few sessions, the result was a band of friends committed to keeping traditional music alive while also building on ideas for original cross-genre material.

By mid-2024, Roblo's Rock evolved into a 6 piece band, poised to make waves through Atlantic Canada and beyond. Their combination of styles, musical backgrounds and experiences have resulted in a distinctive sound that mirrors the vibrant cultural legacy of Newfoundland's Stephenville and Port au Port regions.

 

Work on our debut EP is underway and future event dates are being finalized. We hope to see you at a concert venue or record store nearby soon!
